Carolyn K. Greer

Carolyn Kay ""Casey"" Greer, 65, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

Ms. Greer was born July 5, 1944 in Port Huron, Mich. She was a member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, and was a homemaker. Ms. Greer previously taught Spanish as well as computer classes at the Twin Towers. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and making crafts.

Survivors include three children: James Homer Greer of Beebe, Ark., Kathryn Elyse Greer of Plant City, Fla. and William Earl Greer and wife April of Lakeland, Fla.; six grandchildren: William James Greer, Aleczander Earl Greer, Wesley Leland Heacock, Jr., Tiffany Ann-Marie Heacock, Morgan Greer and Corey Greer; two sisters, Patricia Brett of Mulberry, Fla. and Stephanie Ann Brett of Lakeland, Fla.; and two brothers: Connie Leroy Brett of Calif. and Scott Allen Brett of Lakeland, Fla.

Ms. Greer was preceded in death by her parents, Connie James and Ruby Pauline (Casey) Brett, long-time companion, Tom Dancer, sisters, Glenda Head and Donna King and brother, Timothy Brett.

A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Poplar Bluff with Peggy Schaefer P.M.A. officiating.
