Carolyn Delores Morgan

Carolyn D. Morgan, age 73, of Wappapello, Mo., passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 8th, 2018 at the Puxico Nursing and Rehab Center.

From her birth on April 4th, 1944, until her death on Monday, she nourished everyone around her with endless love and laughter. She was born in St. Louis, Mo. to Jesse and Stella (Ketchum) Gallamore and was the oldest of three children. She attended school at Fremont in St. Louis.

On August 5, 1960 she married Paul D Morgan in St. Louis. When her children were grown and raised, she moved to Wappapello with her husband, where she resided until her passing. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, taking pride in caring for her family. She enjoyed numerous activities, including gardening, fishing, shopping, and spending time with those she loved. Her signature color was red, which she proudly displayed in all aspects of her life. She will be remembered dearly for her huge heart, funny stories, and amazing cooking. Her biscuits and gravy, as well as her chicken and dumplings, will be talked about for years to come!

She is survived, and will be greatly missed, by her children, Paula Massey and Michael (Wendy) Morgan, all of Cedar Hill, and Wendall (Missy) Morgan of Wappapello; son-in-law, Jerry Schaeffer of Cedar Hill; brother, Curt Gallamore of Wappapello and sister, Sandy Jones of Sullivan; grandchildren, Don, Leslie, Stacy, Gary, Brian, Jen, Dave, Adam, Rachel, Jimmy, Leslie, Chris, Jen, Ashley, Mike, Adriane, John, Adam, Ashley, Brittany, and Breezy; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Cole, Alex, Zack, Hailey, Tyler, Darin, Colin, Dalton, Mylie, Jaycob, Jayden, Lucas, Addieanna, Charli, John, Abby, Jacob, James, Justin, Ethan, Austin, Abby, Stella, Lily, Levi, Kaitlyn, JR, Christopher, and Asa; and great-great-grandson, Marshall.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Morgan, parents, Jesse and Stella (Ketchum) Gallamore; daughter, Karen Schaeffer; son-in-law, Charles Massey, and great grandson, Kevin Massey.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 11th from 5 p.m.to 7 p.m. at Wappapello Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Friday, Jan. 12th at 12 p.m. at Wappapello Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jim Schremp officiating. Interment will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
