Carrie Lee Brandon

Carrie Lee Brandon, 82, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Miss Brandon was born Aug. 2, 1931 in Poplar Bluff to the late Ernest Brandon and Stella Brooks. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, and had retired as a nurse for Doctors Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff. Miss Brandon enjoyed spending time with her family, being outside, gardening and planting flowers.

Survivors include two children: David Brandon and Revia Wade (Robert), all of Poplar Bluff; five grandchildren: Sidney Moore, Sydney Davis, Melinda Wade Bradley (L.C.), Nicholas Brandon (Kristian), Rusty Bryant; five great-grandchildren: Madison Wade, Molly Bradley, Ethan Bradley, Adrian Brandon and Jasmine Bryant; one sister, Edith Brooks Robertson, of Poplar Bluff; two brothers: Donald Brooks and Donald Lee Brandon (JoAnn); and a special niece, Sheila Sotolongo (David), of New Jersey.

In addition to her parents, a granddaughter, Knyesha Brandon, and five brothers, Wilbert Brandon, Bobby Brandon, Earl Brandon, Ralph Brooks and William Brooks, Jr. also preceded Miss Brandon in death.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will follow at noon in the funeral chapel with Dr. Ronnie Webb officiating. Burial will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
