Carroll H. Revelle, 76, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, Sept. 15, 2008 at Westwood Hills Healthcare Center, in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Revelle, son of the late Melvin and Chlora (McNeeley) Revelle, was born Aug. 5, 1942, in Delta, Mo. He was a member of First Baptist Church, in Poplar Bluff, and had retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years of service. Mr. Revelle was a veteran of the United States Army, having served from 1952 to 1954. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, and gardening.
On Feb. 10, 1952, he married Lucille Hughes, in Chaffee. She survives.
Other survivors include two children, George Revelle and wife Karree, of Apollo, Fla. and Elaine Revelle, of Seattle, Wash.; two grandchildren, Stanley Carroll Revelle, of Ashburn, Va. and Candice Marie Revelle, of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Katheryn Proctor and husband Woody, of Cape Girardeau, Mo. and Audrey Kitchen and husband Russell, of Union, Mo.; and a brother, James Revelle and wife Christine, of Jackson, Mo.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. John Gilbert officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery.
