Carroll L. Wheeling

Carroll L. Wheeling, 84, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, May 4, 2009 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Wheeling was born April 7, 1925 in Butler County. He retired in 2002 as a Pipefitter, and served in the U. S. Navy during WWII.

On April 8, 1959 he married Patricia Joins in Bartow, Fla. She survives.

Other survivors include 2 grandsons, Jonathan Hosea and Ryan Hosea both of Huntsville, Tex.; a great-grandson, James David Hosea of Huntsville, Tex.; 4 sisters, Dorothy Wheeling and Dolly Vinson both of Poplar Bluff, Doris Duckworth and husband Gene of Mt. Home, Ark. and Fern Wiley of Malden; and many nieces and nephews.

His parents, Bert and Claire (Allen) Wheeling, daughter, Ronda Wheeling, son, Ronald Wheeling and brother, Monroe Wheeling preceded him in death.

A graveside service and burial of ashes will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Triplett officiating.
