Cecil Douglas Price

Cecil Douglas Price, 74, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2009 at his residence.

Mr. Price was born April 1, 1935 in Little Rock, Ark., and moved with his family to Poplar Bluff when he was about 12 years of age. He spent 50 years in the family lumber business, Tom's Lumber Yard located on old Hwy 60 East before retiring in 2001 due to ill health.

In July 1956 he was married to Karen Sparkman. She survives.

Other survivors include his daughter, Teresa Heatherly and her husband Nicholas of Springfield; grandsons, James Heatherly and his wife Diane of Fayetteville, NC and John Heatherly and Mathew Heatherly both of Springfield.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. Burial will be a private family graveside service.
