Cecil Claude Summerfield

Cecil Claude Summerfield Jr., 57, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, April 9, 2012 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Summerfield was born Feb. 21, 1955 in St. Louis, Mo. He graduated from Poplar Bluff High School, and was of the Church of Christ faith. Mr. Summerfield had retired as a self-employed auto body repairman. He enjoyed riding 4-wheelers and camping.

Survivors include his companion, Lisa Middleton of the home; five children, Shelly Summerfield of Murray, Ky., and Kevin Summerfield and wife Erica, Amanda Finley, Joshua Skaggs and Lindsay Bristol all of Poplar Bluff; six grandchildren, McKenna Summerfield, Austin Summerfield, Isabella Finley, Thomas Bristol, Collier Bristol and Loghan Bristol; and several nieces and nephews.

His parents, Cecil Claude Sr. and Earnestine Clark Summerfield, sister, Patricia Guardado and brother, Jack Summerfield preceded Mr. Summerfield in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral chapel with Mr. Dale Swain officiating. Burial will follow at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
