Charles Eugene Dawson

Charles Eugene Dawson, 84, of Camdenton, Mo., formerly of Van Buren, Mo., died Friday, Sept. 21, 2018 at his residence in Camdenton.

Mr. Dawson, son of the late Lee and Martha McClary Dawson, was born May 10, 1934 in Carter County, Mo. He was of the Christian faith. Mr. Dawson was a member of The Masonic Lodge in Ellington, Mo., and had retired from McDonald Douglas as a Quality Control Coordinator. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

On Sept. 27, 1952, he married Helen “Midge” Jackson in Pocahontas, Ark. She preceded him in death on Sept. 13, 2012.

Other survivors include three children, Wayne Dawson and wife, Billy of Warrenton, Mo., Annette Maupin and husband, Jack of Moscow Mills, Mo., and Kimmy Dawson of Camdenton, Mo.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Martha Dorris of Van Buren; two brothers, Robert Allen Dawson of Hallsville, Mo. and James Dawson and wife Joann of Van Buren; and a sister-in-law Millie Dawson.

A brother Edward “Buck” Dawson and a sister-in-law Shirley Dawson also preceded Mr. Dawson in death.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Assembly Church of God Church, 1507 North Main St. in Van Buren, with the funeral service following at 1 p.m. The Rev. Jim Schremp will officiate. Burial will be at Brame Cemetery on Old Hwy 60 in Van Buren.
