Charles Bennie Hodge

Charles Bennie Hodge, 78, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital.

Mr. Hodge was born March 7, 1935 in Poplar Bluff, to the late Frank Francis and Sarah Ethel (Wheeling) Hodge.

On January 10, 1955 he married Betty Bettis in Poplar Bluff. She survives of the home.

Mr. Hodge was of the Presbyterian faith and serviced his country in the United State Air Force from 1957 ? 1961. He retired from McDonald Douglas in St. Louis as a machinist.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his children, Laura Cage of Sebring, FL, Barbara Bolin (Steve) of Imperial, MO, Frances Mirly (Kirby) of Mehlville, MO and Charles B. Hodge Jr. of Oakland, FL; two brothers, Frank ""Eldon"" Hodge (Betty) of Arlington, TX and Odie Hodge (Mary) of Corpus Christi, TX; nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

Three sisters, Etheline, Doris, Freida and four brothers, Melvin, Arvil, Alva, and Dewey, also preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m., Tuesday, March 3rd at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, Poplar Bluff with VA Chaplain Bill Hatch officiating. There will be military honors following, at 3 p.m. Burial will take place at Three Springs Cemetery.
