Charles Edward Lauderdale, 72, of Springfield, MO, and a resident of Poplar Bluff from 1970 to 1985, died Thursday, July 10, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Lauderdale was born Feb. 3, 1942 in Pierce City, MO. He graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science Degree, and he was employed at Consolidated Grain and Barge Company as a marketing representative. Mr. Lauderdale enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and traveling and seeing the world.
On June 10, 1966, he was married to Alti Dean High in Poplar Bluff. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Staci Lauderdale of Springfield, MO; two granddaughters: Laurisa and Kelsey; and two brothers: John (Linda) Lauderdale of Monett, MO and James (Hazel) Lauderdale of Sparta, MO.
His parents, Austin and Vaunita (Spain) Lauderdale preceded Mr. Lauderdale in death.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service and burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff with Rev. Steve Patterson officiating.
