Charles Terry Slankard

Charles Terry Slankard, 63, of Poplar Bluff, Mo, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Slankard was born on June 29, 1951 at Rockford, IL. He had served his country during the Vietnam Conflict with the United States Army. He retired from the Poplar Bluff School System, where he had taught Industrial Arts. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and collecting arrowheads.
Survivors include his brothers: Jim Baker (Sherri) and Bill Baker (Candee Elisabeth); and a sister Kathy Felts (Sam).
His parents, Jim and Lois Baker preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 10a.m. - 12p.m. at Cotrell Funeral Chapel on Saturday. A graveside service will be held at Corola Cemetery in Oglesville, MO at 1 p.m. Saturday, with Rev. Gerald Berger officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Recycling Grace Women's Center at 601 Apple Streett, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901.
