Charles "Slick" Allen Hardin, 85, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at his home.
He was born on July 09, 1940, to John and Velma (Chambers) Hardin in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
He was a journeyman lineman for M & A Electric Coop for over 20 years, before continuing his career in Illinois and eventually retiring. He was very active and had several hobbies, including golf, fishing, hunting, and gambling. He was known to be ornery from time to time and quite the jokester. He had many close friends and enjoyed hanging out with them whenever he could.
He is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Hardin and Charlotte (Hardin) Burns; brother, Truman Hardin; amazing ex-wife and longtime friend, Sharon Hardin; along with numerous extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Chesley "Sonny" Hardin; sister, Shirley Sifford; four half-brothers, Ellis, Roy, Charles and Walter; five half-sisters, Bessie Elzie, Effie, Lillie, and Cleva.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
