Charles Douglas Tucker

Charles Douglas Tucker, Sr., 78, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, Jan. 30, 2012 at The Manor in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Tucker was born Sept. 6, 1932 in Lake City, Ark. He had retired as a factory worker and musician. Mr. Tucker was a veteran of the U. S. Army, and was a member of the American Legion.

On Sept. 13, 1989, he married Sally Marie Frizzell. She preceded him in death on Sept. 17, 2008.

Survivors include four children: Charles D. Tucker, Jr. of Searcy, Ark., Thomas Walter Tucker of Mansfield, Ohio, Charlotte Tucker of Granite City, Ill. and Cindy Nolf of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; a step-son, Allan Plum of Ohio; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Marilyn Rhodes and Linda Stotts both of Park Hills, Mo. and Wyoma Berg of Dalton, Ga.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service with full military honors will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo. with Pastor Keith Luke officiating.
