Charles A. Williams

Charles Anthony ""Charley"" Williams, 54, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Williams was born April 10, 1955 in St. Louis. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Church, and had worked as a tree trimmer and landscaper before becoming disabled. Mr. Williams enjoyed being outdoors, mowing his lawn and giving his grandchildren rides on his mower.

Survivors include two children: Imogene Williams of Stringtown and Charles Williams of Poplar Bluff; his father, Samuel Williams of Poplar Bluff; 8 grandchildren; three sisters: Edna Williams, Peggy Hayes and Ann Williams, all of Poplar Bluff; and two brothers: Samuel Williams, of Wappapello and Melvin Williams of Fisk.

A graveside service and burial will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ash Hill Cemetery in Butler County with the Rev. Lester Galbraith officiating.
