Christina I. Halbrook

Christina I. Halbrook, 90, of Poplar Bluff, died Friday, July 6, 2007 at the Cedargate Care Center, in Poplar Bluff.

Mrs. Halbrook was born May 25, 1917, in Belgrade, Mo. She attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church where she was active in the Women's Mission Association, and was a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, flower gardening and quilting.

On Sept, 2, 1939, she married Albert Halbrook. He preceded her in death on July 6, 1996.

Survivors include a son, Raymond Halbrook, of Poplar Bluff; one grandson, Bracey Halbrook, of Antioch, Tenn.; and two sisters, Wilma Fox, of Poplar Bluff and Edith Darst, of Tyler, Tex.

The visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Don Seat officiating. Burial will be Thursday at Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Jackson, Tenn.
