Christopher "Chris" Keith Davis

Christopher "Chris" Keith Davis went home with our Lord on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at his home in Grandin, Mo.

Chris was born June 14, 1963 in St. Louis, Mo. to Donald and Sharon Hanner Davis. He grew up in the Stringtown area of Butler County and graduated from Poplar Bluff High School. Chris has worked at saw mills and at Walmart warehouses and dairy department in Arkansas and Poplar Bluff. He loved being with his family and friends and fishing and hunting.

Chris was married to Laura Porter on Jan. 2, 1993 at Stringtown Baptist Church. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his mother, Sharon Davis of Festus; his son, Chris (Lisa) Davis, Jr. and their sons, Matthew Davis and James Davis of the home; two grandsons, Ethan Davis and Jacob Davis of Poplar Bluff; a sister, Pam Davis of Festus; his brothers, David (Tammy) of Harviell and Tim Davis of Festus; mother and father-in-law, Roberta and Ron Porter of Grandin; sister-in-law, Ronda Porter; and brothers-in-laws. Allan (Valerie) Porter all of Grandin and Michael (Rhonda) Porter of Arkansas; nephews, Randy (Samantha) Davis, Justin Davis, Tanner Davis, Ronnie (Kallie) Porter and Johnny (Brittany) Porter; nieces, Nikki Burpo, Laci Payne, Sumer Davis and Roxanne Johnson; great nephews, Bo Davis, Cameron Burpo, Holden Davis, Colten Spurgeon, Paxton Porter and Carter Davis; great-nieces, Heaven Burpo, Sierra Davis, Karli Spurgeon, Brinley Alford, America and Kelsey Davis, Sadie Porter and Maggie Porter.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Donald Davis, brother, Bruce Davis, grandparents, Alma and David Hanner and Virginia and Joe Davis and nephew Dustin Davis.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Black Creek Cemetery in Poplar Bluff with the Rev. Billy Orr officiating.
