Clara M. Stahl

Clara Melissa Stahl, 93, of Poplar Bluff died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Stahl was born July 2, 1914, in Coldwater, Mo. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, and was a homemaker. Mrs. Stahl enjoyed reading, especially her Bible, quilting and crocheting.

On June 7, 1934, she was married to Tony Garrett, in Piedmont. He preceded her in death in 1944. On May 3, 1958, she married John Stahl, in DeSoto County, Miss. He preceded her in death on Dec. 29, 1986.

Survivors include two sisters, Frieda Dickerson, of Poplar Bluff and Geneva Ball, of Ortonville, Mich.; and a brother, Chester Street, of Paducah, Ky.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Sunday in the Chapel with Pastor Glenn Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. Sunday at Sandy Church Cemetery, in Hillsboro.
