Cleatis Repetto, 83, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Repetto was born June 30, 1926 in Swifton, Ark. He was of the Protestant faith, and had retired from AT&T. Mr. Repetto was a veteran of the U. S. Army where he received an Army of Occupation Medal (Japan), WWII Victory Medal and Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, and was a collector of telephone pole glass insulators. Mr. Repetto enjoyed reading, hunting and fishing.
On Feb. 1, 1947 he married Virginia D. Drennon in Piggott, Ark. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Mark Repetto and his wife Cheryl of Ozark; two grandchildren: Alyse Repetto and Shawn Repetto; two sisters: Erma Macom of Kans. and Donna Talley of Bloomington, Ill.; a brother, John Repetto and his wife Joan of Atlanta, Ga.; and three sisters-in-law, Earnestine Drennon, Marie Arnold and Jackie Hames; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Repetto was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Irene (Howdeshell) Repetto, a son, Michael Repetto, grandson, Benjamin Repetto and sister, Faye Hanshew.
A graveside service and burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff with the Rev. Ernie Rogers officiating.
