Clemens Louis Deken

Clemens Louis Deken, 104, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away Wednesday, August 06, 2025, at John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

Clem was born on July 25, 1921, to Charles and Theresia (Peters) Deken in Qulin, Missouri.

Clem was a member of the United States Army and served overseas during World War II. He was a very active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 1706. Clem was a talented woodworker and loved gifting his creations. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time outdoors. Clem loved spending time with his family.

Clem is survived by his wife, Ione Deken; two children, Monietta (Roger) Wilkerson and Felix (Amy) Deken; sister, Regina Carver; daughter-in-law, Margie Deken; stepson, Steve (Teresa) Rueck; twelve grandchildren; twenty-six, great-grandchildren and one expected; along with numerous extended relatives and friends.

Clem was preceded in death by his first wife, Christina Deken; two children, Sherrell Deken and Darrell Deken; five brothers and three sisters.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 5:00-7:00pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services.

Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Allen Kirchner officiating. Burial will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or the Knights of Columbus.
