Cleo Joan Crofford

Cleo Joan Crofford, 94, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Friday, June 19, 2026, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Cleo was born on August 9, 1931, to Nicholas Campbell and Beulah (Nicholson) Campbell in Geneso, KS. She married Edward H. Crofford in 1947.

Cleo worked in the garment industry for many years. After retiring she worked in the local school district, first as a teacher’s aide and later as the office receptionist. Cleo was a member of the Highland Church of Christ.

Cleo loved her family; she also enjoyed spending time in her backyard garden.

Cleo is survived by her children, Richard Crofford, Bonnie Wilfong, and Deloris Blahnik; nine grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and seven great-great grandchildren.

Cleo was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; and son, Jack Crofford.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services in Poplar Bluff, MO. Funeral service will follow beginning at 12:00 pm with Pastor Vernon Curry officiating. Burial will take place at Kerns Chapel Cemetery.
