Clifford Robert Browning

Clifford Robert Browning, 89, passed away Friday, April 3, 2020 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Clifford, the youngest of son of James E. ‘Eddie’ and Katherine ‘Katie’ Bergesch Browning, was born Jan. 18, 1931, in Poplar Bluff. He was of the Baptist faith and was the owner of C R Browning Auto Salvage in Poplar Bluff.  He enjoyed spending time and playing checkers with family and friends.

On Oct. 22, 1952, he married Jessie ‘Penny’ Harper in Pocahontas, Ark.  She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Steve Browning of Poplar Bluff; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A son Robert Lee Browning, brothers, William ‘Willie’ Browning, Gilbert ‘Slim’ Browning, Woodrow ‘Doc’ Browning, Rollie Browning, Junior Browning and James Browning; and sisters, Della Graham, Ila Whitmer, Mable M. Graham and Janivee  Schenewerk  also preceded him in death.

A private graveside service will be held Monday, April 6, 2020 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery
