Clifford Lee Lovette, 75, of Poplar Bluff, died Friday, October 19, 2012 at his residence. Mr. Lovette was born March 18, 1937 in Parma, Mo. and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a retired Supervisor of the Eastern District for Ozark Border Electric Cooperative. He enjoyed spending time with family and grandchildren, woodworking, music, hunting , fishing, gardening, carpentry house building and bird watching. Mr. Lovette was an Air force veteran.
On Oct. 15, 1955 he married Anna Lucille Quigley and she preceded him in death on April 2, 2001. On May 10, 2006 he married Mary Dotts in Poplar Bluff and she survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Brenda Sparkman and husband Dennie of Poplar Bluff and Dianna Godwin and husband Richard of Foristell, Mo., step children, Jodi, Frank, Rob, Jamie, R.J., Tina and Casey; five grandchildren, Josh Sparkman and wife Cheri, Christy Craft and husband Jason, Stacey Johnson and husband Mark, Ryan Godwin and Christopher Godwin; two great grandchildren, Breanna Craft and Sophie Johnson; six sisters, Pheobe Butler of Wallawa, Ore., Virginia Deitz of Draper, Utah, Virgie Stellmon of Hayden, Idaho, Neva Lovette-Lee of Ballwin, Mo., Gayle Lovette of Nampa, Idaho, Laverne Faughn of Sugar City, Idaho and three brothers, Raymond G. Lovette of Poplar Bluff, Dale Lovette of Poplar Bluff, and Ron Lovette of Blair, Wis.
His parents, Johnny Clifford and Mabel (Burns) Lovette, a son Gary Lovette and a brother Hershel Wayne Lovette preceded Mr. Lovette in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. ? 8:00 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Leroy Murray officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Bluff City Cemtery.
The family requests memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
