Clinton Elledge

Clinton Elledge, 84, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., formerly of Litchfield, Ill. passed away Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2014 at The Manor Care Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Elledge was born Sept. 25, 1930 in Litchfield to the late William Russell and Pearl Mitchell Elledge. He was a member and Elder at The Bluff Church in Poplar Bluff and had retired as manager of P.N. Hirsch Department Stores in Illinois. He proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict while serving in the U.S. Army. Mr. Elledge served as a volunteer at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center as well as The First Baptist Church.

On Jan. 12, 1952, he married Dolores Miller in Litchfield, Ill. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his son, David (Luann) Elledge of Poplar Bluff; daughter-in-law, Catherine Elledge, of Edgewater, Fla.; four grandchildren: Erik (Samantha) Elledge, of Daytona Beach, Fla., Lauren Hasanov, Lyndsee (Brandon) Moon and Luke Elledge, all of Poplar Bluff; three great-grandchildren: Skylar Elledge, of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Samuel and Alex Hasanov, of Poplar Bluff; and a brother, Richard (Marian) Elledge, of Litchfield, Ill.

A son, Rusty Elledge, grandson, Aaron Elledge and a brother, Donald Elledge also preceded Mr. Elledge in death.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Chapel with his son, Rev. David Elledge officiating and Rev. Doug Osborn assisting. Interment will be at Elm Lawn Memorial Park in Litchfield, Ill. at a later date.
