Conway Merlin (C.M.) Wilson, 93, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Oakdale Care Center.
C.M. the son of the late Clyde Matthew and Cora Edith (Nance) Wilson was born January 2, 1926 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was a member of the Disciples of Christ Christian Church where he served as a deacon. C.M. proudly served in the U.S. Navy and served during WWII. He was retired from Southern Missouri Bank and was a member of TPA, Square Kickers and the Elks.
On May 30, 1948 he marred Lottie Jean White in Poplar Bluff. She preceded him in death January 2, 1984.
Survivors include a sister, Nance Cox; three children, Lindy Williams (Bill) of Springfield, Mo., Russ Wilson (Sherry) and William (Bill) Wilson (Heather) all of Poplar Bluff; eight grandchildren, Wes Williams, Michael Williams (Mandy), Sarah Williams, Leslie Elliott, Bryan Wilson (Magen), Jess Crawford (Brandon), Mark Wilson (Sarah) and Daniel Wilson; ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and many cousins, loved ones and friends who will mourn his passing.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. A graveside funeral will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the City Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Chlastak officiating. He will receive full military honors at graveside.
