Corrine O. Lawler, 86, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, Jan. 9, 2012 Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Lawler was born May 5, 1925 in Lawrence, Mass. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Poplar Bluff, and had previously owned and operated Lawler Daycare Center in her home. Mrs. Lawler later retired as a Hospital Ward Clerk in Texas. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and embroidery work.
On July 5, 1964, she married Robert Louis Lawler in Zion, Mo. Mr. Lawler preceded her in death on July 22, 2011.
Survivors include her caregiver and friend, Irene Longoria of Poplar Bluff; special friends and caregivers, Mimi and John Kuenzel of Arlington, Tex.; and a brother, Alfred Becotte of Lady Lake, Fla.
Her parents, Alfred and Corrine (Robbedeau) Becotte also preceded Mrs. Lawler in death.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel with the Rev. Doug Osborn officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
