Cynthia Jean Keezer, 88, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Cedargate Phase II in Poplar Bluff.
Mrs. Keezer was born May 17, 1922 in Tunnelton, Ind. She was a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church where she served many years in the Vestry; was a 60-year member of Daughters of the American Revolution; and was author of her family history genealogy record. Mrs. Keezer received her degree in Zoology from the University of Oklahoma, and later worked as an office assistant for her husband's medical practice. She also worked several seasons as a National Park Service Interpreter in History and Anthropology. Mrs. Keezer enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and traveling.
In August 1941, she married William Stillman Keezer, M.D. in Rock Springs, Maryland. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1980.
Survivors include three children, Betty Lou Lebeda and husband Charles of Los Alamos, New Mexico, William S. Keezer, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Mason, Ohio and James Robert Keezer of Pocatello, Idaho; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Her parents, Franklin Earl and Bernice Guthrie (Sallee) Martin, grandson, Adam Keezer and brother, Frank Martin, Jr. also preceded Mrs. Keezer in death.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff with Mr. Mike Malone officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
