Daniel 'Dan' K. Alexander

Daniel 'Dan' Keith Alexander of Poplar Bluff, MO entered into his heavenly home Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

Dan was born October 4, 1955 in Poplar Bluff to J. W. Jr. and Hazel Alexander. Dan was a graduate of Poplar Bluff High School. He also attended Southeast Missouri State University. He was employed at Gamblin Lumber. Dan was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed spending time with his grandson, Ozzy.

On June 4, 1977, he married Sandra Miller. She survives of the home.

His other survivors include: his sons, Randy (McKenzie) Alexander and Devin Alexander of Poplar Bluff; one brother, Bill (Myra) Alexander of Neelyville, Mo.; one sister, Sherri (Rusty) Divine of Poplar Bluff; his loving mother, Hazel Alexander, and mother-in-law, Ilyene Miller both of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren, Amara, Mikah, and Gampa’s boy, Ozzy; sister-in-law, Cathy (Chuck) Hartwell of Fagus, Mo., sister-in-law, Christi Nold of Kansas City, Mo.; several nieces and nephews; and his Gamblin Lumber family.

Dan was preceded in death by his father, J. W. Alexander Jr. and father-in-law, Doyle Miller.

Dan was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with the funeral service following at 2 p.m.  The Rev. Scott Wilkerson will officiate.  Interment will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
