Danny V. Evans

Danny Vernal Evans, 54, of Poplar Bluff died Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at his residence.

Mr. Evans was born Sept. 19, 1956 in Gideon, Mo. He was a self-employed guttering, siding and window contractor. Mr. Evans enjoyed playing, singing and listening to music, hunting, boating on the lake, and riding his motorcycle.

On June 12, 2004, he married Susan Hanks in Poplar Bluff. She survives.

Other survivors include his children, Mika Evans and Stephanie and Christy Blackmon and husband, Mark all of Dewey, Okla., and Chris Casey, Jessica Graham and husband, Keith and Jacob Jones all of Poplar Bluff; grandchildren, Jonathan Blackmon, Kelsee Blackmon, Kobe Blackmon, Achilles Evans, Easton Kirchner and Taylor Graham; sister, Jennifer Robertson and husband, Shane of Ellsinore, Mo.; and brother, Dennis Evans and wife, Tammy of Andalusia, Ala.

His parents, William Vernal and Gloria Jennel Smith Evans, and son, David Evans preceded Mr. Evans in death.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral chapel with Robin Berry officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
