Danny Thompson

Danny Duane Thompson, 79, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on June 7, 2018.

Danny was born on May 23, 1939 to James and Eva Thompson of Campbell, MO. Danny attended school at The University of Arkansas where he obtained his Bachelor of Literature Danny furthered his education by receiving a masters in English from Southeast Missouri State University. Danny worked as a instructor for Three Rivers College as an English Professor for 2 years. Danny retired from the Social Security office where he worked 30 plus years as a claim representative. On Jan 31, 1959 he married the love of his life Emma they celebrated 55 years of marriage.

Danny is survived by daughter, Kelly (Dewayne) Stanfill of Harviell, MO; Two Sons, Barry Thompson of Ozark, MO, Kerry (Penny) Thompson of Grain Valley, MO; Four Grandsons, James (Ashley) Thurman of Gray Summit, MO, David Thurman of Poplar Bluff, MO, Dylan (Lauren) Stanfill of Poplar Bluff, MO, Preston Thompson of Fair Grove, MO; Two Granddaughters, Autumn Thompson of Springfield, MO, Roxanne Thompson of Springfield, MO.
