Danny W. Tinnell

Danny W. Tinnell, 66, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away, Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Mr. Tinnell was born March 30, 1948 in St. Louis, Mo. to the late Eugene and Helen Powers Tinnell. He was of the Baptist faith and was retired. Mr. Tinnell proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and woodworking.

On Sept. 23, 2006, he married Kathleen A. Sellers in Poplar Bluff. She survives.

Other survivors include three children: Danny W. Tinnell, Jr., Lisa Hoard, and Matthew Tinnell: two step-children: Lorra McPhearson and James Hanner, Jr.; seven grandchildren; a brother, Larry Tinnell; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel with Rev. Jim Schremp officiating. Burial with military honors will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
