Darrel F. Mcnew

Darrel F. McNew, 76, of Poplar Bluff, died Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mr. McNew was born December 24, 1933 in Neelyville, Mo. and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a retired truck driver for McLane Transport. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, gardening and woodworking.

On May 11, 1952 he married Ellen ""Verlene"" Burchard in Pocahontas, Ark. and she survives.

Also surviving are three children, Gene McNew and companion Cheryl Chaffin, Mona Lee and husband Jimmie and Sandy Fuller and husband Scott all of Poplar Bluff; 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, a brother, LeRoy McNew and wife Dorothy of Poplar Bluff, a sister Wanda Sullivan of Poplar Bluff, and a step brother, Kirk Clark and wife Bonnie of Omaha, NE.

Mr. McNew was preceded in death by his parents, David and Laura (Blagg) McNew, a son Donnie McNew, 2 sisters, Betty Edwards and Evelyn Morse and a step brother Alvin Sisk.

Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Louie Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Old Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler County.
