Darwin Ray Huett

Ray Huett of Poplar Bluff Missouri left his body on June 6th, 2026, at the age of 66.

Mr. Huett was born July 31, 1959, in Oroville California, to the late Floyd Junior Huett and Wanda Louise (Ellsworth) Downs.

He was raised in Southern California and lived an adventurous life near the beach, sand and surf. He found peace on the water. Ray married Sharon (Croy) Huett on August 14th, 1982. They had three beautiful daughters in California. Early in his career, Ray sold Cable TV and then became a Dish Retailer. In 1995 they moved the family to Poplar Bluff. Despite his love for the beach, he readily adopted Poplar Bluff as his home and made many wonderful friends and memories here.

Ray was fiercely devoted to his family, becoming a caregiver to his late mother, brother, and step-father.

Ray is survived by his wife Sharon, three daughters; Shannon, Brooke, and Kayla and six grandchildren; Staley, Olsen, Jones, Mia, Bianca, and Hugo. He is also survived by his sisters Suzette and Tammy.

Ray loved his God and his church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Build fund at blufffirst.com/give. Visitation will begin at First Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff at 4pm, Thursday June 11th. A memorial service will follow at 6pm, conducted by Pastor T.J. Woodard.
