David Ray Winfree Sr.

David Ray Winfree Sr., 75, of Poplar Bluff, MO passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at his home.

David was born on July 29, 1950, to Elmer and Imogene (Van Buren) Winfree in St. Louis, Missouri.

David was quite the outdoorsman in his younger years and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing. He appreciated the simple things in life such as a cold beer and spending time with his friends and family.

David is survived by his life partner of over 60 years, Audrey Winfree; three children, Brian (Barbara) Winfree, Debra (Danny) Russom, and Daniel (Debbie) Winfree; three brothers, Larry Winfree, Ron Burgin, and Bob Burgin; thirteen grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; his canine companion, Joey; along with numerous extended family members and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dennis Burgin; one son, David Ray Winfree Jr.
