Debbie G. Bagby

Debbie G. Bagby, 63, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 at her residence.

Debbie, the daughter of Charles C. and Johnnie M. Platz Liley of McAllen, Texas, was born Feb. 3, 1954 in Poplar Bluff. She was a member of The First Church of God in Poplar Bluff and had retired after 15 years with the Bank of Poplar Bluff. Debbie loved to spend time with her two boys and her cat Cheetos. She also enjoyed playing poker and bingo and trying her luck at gambling.

In addition to her parents Debbie is survived by the father of her children and good friend, Doug Bagby; their two sons, Jacob Douglas “Jake” (Fawn) Bagby and Canon Douglas (Pamela) Bagby all of Poplar Bluff; and two sisters, Sharon Novell of St. Louis and Charlotte Woods of McAllen, Texas.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with a Celebration of Debbie’s life following at 4 p.m. The Rev. Ben Higgins will officiate.
