Debbie J. Walden, 61, of Poplar Bluff died Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Walden was born Aug. 1, 1952 in Houston, MO to the late Delmar and Helen (Abrams) Skouby. She was of the Baptist faith and worked at Advantage Sales and Marketing as well as at Home Depot in Poplar Bluff. Mrs. Walden loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals and collecting sports memorabilia.
On Dec. 31, 1971, she married Kenneth Walden in Poplar Bluff. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include two children: Kenneth Blake Walden (Cathie) of Imperial, MO and Kimberly Gallamore of Poplar Bluff; four grandchildren: Charity Gallamore, Elisabeth Walden, Kaitlyn Walden and Jevin Walden; two sisters: Frankie Shelton (Don) of Wichita, KS, and Kay Sims (Danny) of Murray, KY; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, a sister, Norma Mizell and two brothers, Kenny Skouby and Bill Skouby also preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral chapel with Rev. Donnie Emmons officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
