Debra Kay Placher

Debra Kay “Nana” Placher, 62, of Fisk, MO, passed away on Wednesday, January 29,2020 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Debra was born on June 30, 1957 in Fresno, CA the daughter of James Pleasant Sampson Sr. and Donna Mae Bird. On August 16, 1990 she married James Henry Placher in Poplar Bluff and he survives.

Debra was retired having worked in retail sales, she enjoyed playing bingo and coloring.

Debra had a beautiful spirit and gave of herself freely, she had a big heart and a passion for helping others. Debra loved her family and friends deeply and was always willing to go the extra mile for them.

In addition to her husband she is survived by, her mother Donna Mae Eldridge of Austin, TX; her special family, Alvin (Elizabeth) Francis of Fisk, MO; Nana’s Boys, Logan and Jacob Francis of Fisk, MO; three children Tyna Marie (Bryan) Gates of Thackerville, OK, Michael David Atkinson of Clovis CA and Dawn Miranda Patton of Clovis, CA; three grandchildren, Brian (Nicole) Atkinson of Thackerville, OK, Christopher James Hale of Upper Sandusky, OH and Samantha Joy Hale of Thackerville, OK; four great-grandchildren, Bayleigh Joy Atkinson, Addisyn Trishel Atkinson, Niklous Ray Hale and Audrea Louise Mowery; six brothers, Donald James Sampson of TX, Charles Winstead of Azle, TX, Joey Winstead of Era, TX, James Pleasant Sampson Jr. of OK, Clyde T. Eldridge Jr. of Victoria, TX and David Eldridge of Lampasas, TX; four sisters, Lena Wessels of Pflugerville, TX, Sharon Lynn Roof of Springtown, TX, Karen Daughty of Thackerville, OK and Diana McClaferty of Dripping Springs, TX and many nieces and nephews.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents, James Pleasant Sampson Sr., Marylu Sampson and Clyde T. Eldridge Sr.; two sisters, Wendy Howard and Rebecca Eldridge and a grandson Justin Ray Joiner.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service in the chapel at Moore Funeral Service, 1100 Iron Bridge Road, Poplar Bluff, MO.

Funeral Service will begin at 5:00 p.m. With family and friends celebrating Debra’s life.
