Debra Sue Debbie Williams

Debra Sue ""Debbie"" Williams, 57, of St. Peters, Mo. died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at St. Joseph West Hospital in Lake St. Louis, Mo.

Ms. Williams was born June 16, 1955 in St. Louis, Mo., and was of the Protestant faith. Employed with Verizon as a customer representative since 1974, Ms. Williams was also a member of Communication Workers of America, and actively worked with the CWA Union. She enjoyed working for the Union, photography, taking photos of animals at the zoo, cats and other animals and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her mother, Lois L. (Shirley) Williams of Poplar Bluff; sister, Joy Williams of Poplar Bluff; brothers, Gary Williams of Christiana, Tenn. and Bruce Williams of San Diego, Calif.; and numerous nephews, cousins and many friends.

Her father, Glenon Roy Williams preceded her in death on Nov. 7, 2011.

Visitation will begin at 12 noon Saturday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral chapel with Rev. Lloyd Steinshouer officiating. Burial will be at the City Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
