Delores Jean (Wells) Mccarter

Delores Jean McCarter, 79, of Poplar Bluff, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at St Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Mrs. McCarter was born March 7, 1933, in Henley, MO. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and a homemaker. Mrs. McCarter enjoyed taking care of the farm animals, crocheting, and spending time with her family.

On April 27, 1950 she married Howard Amos McCarter, who preceded her in death on Aug. 16, 2002. Also preceding her in death were her parents Alfred and Catherine (Bruner) Wells.

Mrs. McCarter is survived by two daughters, Linda Sandage and husband Ralph and Annette Knowles both of Poplar Bluff; one son, William McCarter of Poplar Bluff; three grandchildren, Tyler Knowles, Brad Sandage, and Matthew Sandage; and two sisters, Mary Klithermes of New Bloomfield, MO and Ellen Glipin of Russellville, MO.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. ? 2:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 at Cotrell Funeral Chapel with funeral services to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Sparkman Cemetery in Butler County.
