Dennis Ray Neighbors

Dennis Ray Neighbors, 55, of Wappapello, Mo. died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011 at his residence.

Mr. Neighbors was born Jan. 11, 1956 in St. Louis, Mo. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, and was a longtime member of the Eagle's Lodge and V.F.W. Post 3416 at Wappapello. Mr. Neighbors was also a member of the Wappapello Crappie Club. He was self-employed as a long distance truck driver. Mr. Neighbors enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and deer hunting.

On July 23, 1988, he married Cynthia ""Cindy"" Richmond in Advance, Mo. She survives.

Other survivors include his children, Libby Modena of Woodworth, Okla. and Coty Neighbors of Puxico, Mo.; grandchildren, Baydon Modena and Kaitlyn Modena; and brother, Bart Prince of St. Louis, Mo.

A graveside service with full military honors will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Rev. Jim Schremp officiating.
