Derek Everett Sieben

Derek Everett Sieben, 28, of Poplar Bluff, Mo., entered the arms of his Lord and Savior Tuesday, May 1, 2018 in Butler County.

Derek, the son of Tina Sieben Batton and Chad Everett Kearbey, was born Nov. 4, 1989 in Poplar Bluff. He worked for Cornell Trucking as a dump truck driver and was a diesel mechanic. Derek’s passion in life was being a loving husband and father. He loved fishing, boating and spending time at the river and lake with his family and friends.

He married the love of his life, Cassie Knowles on Aug. 27, 2012 in Poplar Bluff. She survives.

Other survivors include his four amazing children, Lexi, Kenzie, Blake and Aubree Jean Sieben; his mother Tina Sieben Batton of Poplar Bluff; his father Chad Kearbey and his wife Angela of Ellsinore; a brother, Darrell Brown; four sisters, Dena Brown, Andrea Kearbey, Tori Kearbey and Addie Mae Kearbey; maternal grandfather, Gerald Sieben; and paternal grandparents Everett and Sue Kearbey.

Derek was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Mary Nell Sieben.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral chapel with Rev. Derek Shaw officiating. Burial will be at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
