Dessie I Renard

Dessie I. Renard, 91, of Cape Girardeau Mo., formerly of Poplar Bluff, Mo. passed away Sunday July 31, 2016 at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Mrs. Renard, the daughter of the late Albert F. and Alpha Lemonds Mounce was born Dec. 6, 1924 in Pollard Ark. She was of the Baptist faith and was a retired photographer for the Stinson Press. During her earlier years she served as a church librarian, a 4-H leader and a Cub Scout leader. Mrs. Renard enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing and crafts.

She was united in marriage to Evert Ellis Renard January 4, 1945 he preceded her in death on June 9, 1996.

Mrs. Renard is survived by two children; Jim (Marty) Renard of Piggott, Ark. and Barbara (David) McCall of Galax, Va.; six grandchildren; John McCall, Jeffrey (Jennifer) McCall, Melissa (Richard) Browne, Annette Renard (companion, Geronimo Auila Trujillo, Landon (Katie) Huffman and Travis (Erin) Huffman; and nine great-grandchildren

The visitation will begin at noon Thursday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff, with the funeral service following at 2 p.m. The Rev. Leland Duncan will officiate. Burial will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
