Dewayne Dillenger Wrinkle, 70, of Poplar Bluff passed away Monday, April 29, 2013 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Wrinkle was born March 9, 1943 in Grady, Arkansas. He was of the Pentecostal faith, and was a retired U.S. Army veteran. For his service to his country, Mr. Wrinkle was awarded a National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal; Combat Infantry Badge; Army Commendation Medal; 3 Overseas Bars; and a Purple Heart. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and fishing.
On Oct. 17, 2004, he married Kathryn Adams in Poplar Bluff. She survives.
Other survivors include three sisters, Wanda Chitwood, Betty Hill and Barbara Ann Wrinkle; and two brothers, Paul Wrinkle and Jimmy Wrinkle.
His parents, Elwood and Maggie Jones Wrinkle preceded him in death.
A graveside service and burial with full military honors will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield with Rev. Ted Elledge officiating.
Cotrell Funeral Service of Poplar Bluff is in charge of the arrangements.
