Dolly Vinson

Dolly Clarabelle (Wheeling) Vinson, 75 of Poplar Bluff, passed away Tuesday, May
5, 2015, .at her residence.

Ms. Vinson was born December 23, 1939 in Hendrickson, MO to the late Bert and Clara (Allen) Wheeling.

After graduating from PBHS in 1957, she owned and operated Popular Beauty Shop on S. Main St. for many years with her sister, Dorthea Wheeling. She later retired from Poplar Bluff Regional Center, where she enjoyed assisting the handicap and the mentally disabled.

Survivors include her two children: Angela Lawson and Billy Joe Vinson; a granddaughter, Kristi Lawson; an adopted granddaughter, Jolene Raymond Kurz; and a great-granddaughter, Isabella Stevens, all of Poplar Bluff; and three sisters: Dorthea Wheeling, of Poplar Bluff, Fern Wiley, of Malden and Doris "Dottie" Duckworth, of Oakland AR.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her ex-husband and the father of her children, Billy Eugene Vinson; two brothers: Monroe and Carroll Wheeling; and her beloved obese Bluehealer, "BlueDog".

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
