Donald Leo King, 78, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011 in Wayne County.
Mr. King was born Oct. 24, 1932 in Poplar Bluff. He was a member of Second Baptist Church; was owner and operator of City Motor Sales in Poplar Bluff; and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. King enjoyed fishing and making jigs.
On Dec. 25, 1952, he married Nancy Jo Anne Mooney in Poplar Bluff. She preceded him in death on June 24, 2008.
Survivors include four children, Cindy Dees of St. Louis, Judy Levan and special friend, Jerry Schaefer of Wolf Lake, Ill., and Parker King and wife, Karen and Alan King all of Poplar Bluff; 11 grandchildren, Christina Griffin and husband, James, Daniel Dees, Jason Faraone, Natalie McCarty, Roger Levan II and wife, Angie, Cody Levan and wife, Marian, Hunter Levan, Rachael Bauman and husband, Jason, Jessica King, Preston King and Cali King; 11 great-grandchildren, Eryn Griffin, Dailey Griffin, Abby Griffin, Emily Dees, Ashly Dees, Payton McCarty, Eli McCarty, Shelby Levan, Roger Levan III, Xavier Bauman and Alice Bauman; a sister, Vickey VanCleve of Poplar Bluff; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chapel with Bro. Steve Francis officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Poplar Bluff.
