Donald March

Donald March, 73, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Monday, June 02, 2025, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Don was born on March 25, 1952, to Rosetta (Lee) Harris in Humphrey County, Mississippi.

Don had a heart of gold and would always help others when he was able. He had a unique sense of humor with a boisterous voice you could hear a mile awhile. There was never a dull moment in his presence.

Don is survived by two brothers, Cleartha Davis and Jackie (Tonya) March; six sisters, Virgie Morton, Queen Esther Lanford, Dorothy (Tony) Cox, Mosella Harris, Rosetta (Robert) Sildon, and Angela (Reuben) Perales; daughter, Tahitia Purnell; two sons, Ronnie Bonds and Michael Purnell; seven grandchildren, Charney, Taliea, Tyrika, Keirrah, Keith, Kyrah, and Mychaela; aunt, Dorothy Lee; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Rev. Mose Harris Jr. and sister, Irma Boyd.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 1:30-2:00p at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral service will follow beginning at 2:00pm with Reverend Leroy Williams officiating. Burial will take place at the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
