Donald Gene Mckuin, Jr.

Donald (Donnie) Gene McKuin, Jr., of Houston, Texas went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 30, 2014 in Houston.

Donnie was born January 26, 1959 in Houston, Texas and lived there all of his life. He attended Bellaire High School and after graduation worked in the family business, Don McKuin Electric Company, Inc. until the business was sold in 1985. Since then, he was employed by the Houston Chronicle. Donnie loved music and played keyboard and guitar in many local bands around Houston. He had been a member of Central Baptist Church in Bellaire, Texas since childhood.

Survivors include his wife Jiang Bian (Beverly) McKuin; parents, Donald Gene, Sr. and Wilma Atnip McKuin; a sister, Nancy McKuin Letbetter; a nephew and his wife, Daniel and Amanda Letbetter; and a host of other family members and friends.

Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with the funeral service following at 1:30 p.m. Dr. William Vail will officiate. Burial will be at Ash Hill Cemetery in Ash Hill, Missouri.
