Donna J. Gentry, 73, of Williamsville, died Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Landmark Hospital, in Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Gentry was born Jan. 20, 1935, in Decatur, Ill., and was of the Baptist faith. During her earlier years she worked for Gossard Garment Mfg. and later retired as owner and operator of Don-Lin Toys. Mrs. Gentry was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and L.A. Lakers. She also enjoyed knitting.
On Sept. 21, 1959, she married Carl E. Gentry, in Decatur, Ill. He survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Linda Boyer and Carolyn Boyer, both of Poplar Bluff, and Beverly Saunders, of Decatur, Ala.; son, John Boyer, of Springfield, Mo.; 6 grandchildren, Troy Ray McCarter, Shae McCarter, Gorman Saunders, Stevie Lee Saunders, Desra Rae King, and Kevin Lee Boyer; 4 great-grandchildren, Brianna McCarter, Stephen Paul McCarter, Hanna Cole and Taylor Osborn; and a sister, Marilyn Gregory, of Decatur, Ill.
Her parents, Leslie and Mary (Turner) Jones, daughter, Rebecca Boyer, grandson, Carl Stephen Saunders and sister, Virginia Hedenberg preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel with the Rev. Jim Schremp officiating. Burial will be at Three Springs Cemetery, in Butler County.
