Donna Lou (Hastings) Mcknight

Donna Lou McKnight, 84, of Poplar Bluff, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at her residence.
Mrs. Mc Knight was born September 7, 1930 in Senath, Mo, to William ""Bill"" Hastings and Robbie L. Tyler Hastings. On December 12, 1948, she married James K. McKnight in Poplar Bluff. He preceded her in death in 2013.
She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, the Ladies Sunday School Class, the Women's Missionary Union, the Kitchen Committee, and the Children's Church, and had worked as a teacher's aide. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and eating out with friends after church.
Survivors include her children: James David McKnight, (Brenda), of Poplar Bluff, and Susan K. Bratt,(Ken), of Franklin, TN; two grandchildren: Kevin and Nick Bratt; two brothers: Jim Hastings, (Christine), of St. Charles, MO, and James Odell Hastings, (Carolyn), of Poplar Bluff, and two sisters: Mary Lois Greenwood, of Paducah, KY, and Betty Jane Prenzel, (Herman), of Poplar Bluff.
Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a grandson, Tyler Pierce McKnight; and two brothers: Hezekiah and Randy Hastings.
Visitation will be Thursday from 10 ? 11 a.m., at Cotrell Funeral Chapel, with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m. Rev. Dennis Ward will be officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
