Doris B. ""Toots"" Armes, 78, of Poplar Bluff died Monday, June 29, 2009 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Armes was born April 30, 1931 in Poplar Bluff, and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Armes was a homemaker, and was a member of the Democrat Women's Club of Poplar Bluff. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
On Jan. 15, 1950 she married Fred Joseph Armes in Pocahontas, Ark. He survives.
Other survivors include her children: Michael Armes and wife Helen, Deborah Bramer and Rebecca Lachenicht and husband Anthony all of St. Louis; grandchildren: Scott Bramer, Elizabeth Lachenicht and Timothy Lachenicht; step-grandchildren: P.J. Waters and Jason Heidebur; step-great-grandchild, Brady Waters; sister-in-law, June Hart of Shalimar, Fla.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Marge Armes, Ed and Grace Armes, Linda Armes Davidson, Tom and Pat Armes and Kathy Armes all of Poplar Bluff and Donald and Patricia Battig of St. Louis; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Her parents, William Cecil and Edith Marie (Plunk) Hart, brother, Billy J. Hart and brothers-in-law, Jack Armes and Larry Armes preceded Mrs. Armes in death.
Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel with the Rev. Richard Triplett officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Bluff City Cemetery.
