Doris Imogene Larrew, 93, of Poplar Bluff, died Saturday, September 22, 2012 at her residence.
Mrs. Larrew was born January 20, 1919 in Hendrickson, Mo. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women, where she was one of the oldest past presidents.
Mrs. Larrew was a line worker at McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis and later as a sewing machine operator at Gossard Factory in Poplar Bluff. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, flowers, traveling, oil painting and fishing.
On November 22, 1950, she was married to John Leroy Larrew who preceded her in death on August 21, 2010.
Survivors include one daughter, Donna Marie Rice and husband Rickie Lee of Poplar Bluff; one granddaughter, Michele Beth Rice of Poplar Bluff; one sister, Marjorie Owens of Georgetown, Tex; two sisters-in-law: Lavern Hillis of Poplar Bluff and Rosabelle Hillis of Swansea, SC; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Mrs. Larrew in death were her parents, William Sr. and Helen (Maddux) Hillis, and seven brothers: James Roy Hillis, Joseph Ned Hillis, Bennett Hillis, Alfred Hillis, Tom Hillis, Frank Hillis and Luther Hillis.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with Rev. J.C. Bryant officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
